Customized power management solutions
The wireless power sub-system (inverter–resonant transformer–rectifier) is usually integrated in a power management system (PMS). Within such a system, a power supply unit ensures safe isolation from the mains and includes a circuit for power factor correction (PFC), if necessary. One or more DC/DC converters generate the operating voltages required by the application. A battery and a battery management system (BMS) are also required in many cases.
This are some tasks in which etatronix noticeably eases its customers’ burden by taking over responsibility from concept development through to series production. Our project experience, efficient processes, and in-depth knowledge of the specific requirements of industrial sectors such as medical technology, industrial automation and measurement technology enable us to safely deliver projects.
Power conversion
etatronix develops and manufactures AC/DC and DC/DC converters, power factor correction stages (PFC), and battery charge regulators within a power range of between 50mW and roughly 10kW. We rely on tried and tested platform solutions when developing application-specific solutions. Depending on the specific requirements, and giving due consideration to value engineering, we also employ the latest topologies and technologies. These include SiC and GaN semiconductor components, as well as digital control and regulation of power modules.
Battery management
The etatronix battery management system is suitable for almost every cell chemistry and cell configuration. Charging capacities typically ranging from 2.5W to 1kW, charge and battery status monitoring, extensive safety functions, and a multitude of interfaces, make it particularly well suited for use in portable measuring devices, in drones and in automatic guided vehicles (AGV).
Connectivity
Virtually all modern devices and systems require interfaces and bus systems in order to exchange data, either internally, i.e. between the different modules of a device, or with external interfaces to enable integration in networks. Sensor networks and fieldbuses have become indispensable in automation, especially in Industry 4.0 with its increasingly autonomous robotics and vehicle technology. etatronix has verified hardware and software stacks for almost all common interfaces and bus systems, such as USB, USB‑C, CAN, CANopen, SMBus, PMBus, I2C, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth.
